Watch Andersley’s Story

In this video, Andersley Renelus shares how her experience as a Psychology student at ΊΪΑΟΙηΗψ led her to serve on mission in Bolivia and pursue a calling in mental health ministry.

Highlights of Andersley’s Story

As a Psychology student at ΊΪΑΟΙηΗψ, Andersley Renelus has discovered how faith and mental health can work together to bring healing and hope. Her academic journey at ΊΪΑΟΙηΗψ has not only prepared her for a future career but has also deepened her understanding of how Christ-centered compassion can transform lives.

During her mission trip to Bolivia, Andersley partnered with , where she served through hands-on ministry. Her team built gardens, planted trees, led Vacation Bible School programs, and visited families in local communities. Through home visits, they delivered gift baskets filled with necessities, prayed with families, and shared the joy of the Lord.

One of the most meaningful moments of her trip was forming a friendship with a young girl named Valentina. Despite language barriers, they connected through kindness, laughter, and shared experiences. This encounter reinforced Andersley’s belief that joy does not come from circumstances but from Christ.

Her biggest takeaway from Bolivia was witnessing childlike joy in communities that had very little materially. That experience reshaped her understanding of gratitude and faith. She believes that Christians are called to β€œcount it all joy” because true joy comes from above, not from what surrounds us.

Looking ahead, Andersley’s is to serve individuals with mental disabilities, particularly in areas where there is limited understanding or access to care. She hopes to combine her Psychology training with mission work β€” offering both professional support and spiritual encouragement, and inviting God into the healing process.

Her time at ΊΪΑΟΙηΗψ has given her the foundation to pursue that calling with both knowledge and conviction.
